2009-2010:
In his first year at UMBC, played in every game and posted 30 points in regular season play. Selected to the ACHA Second Team All-Tournament team at Nationals as well as being selected to the MACHA All-Stars. Key addition to the blueline where they held opposition to 2.6 GAA in regular season action and a stingy 1.5 GAA during the MACHA Playoffs leading to the Undefeated Season.
Background:
A National AP Scholar, Nik joins UMBC after spending last season in Canada with the Nepean Raiders (CJHL). He was one of two rostered US citizens, seeing significant time on the blueline. The Raiders finished first in the Yzerman Division and went to the CJHL Championship. Jost finished the regular season with 11 points in 45 games. While in high school he played with the Toledo Cherokee Jr A (CSHL) and Belle Tire AAA (MWEHL). Nik was a two-time CSHL All-Star, competed at Hockey Night in Boston with Team Midwest, and attended various USHL and NAHL main and futures camps.
Son of Laurie and Peter Jost. Has two sisters Erika and Kristen. Born August 22, 1990.
